Order Terms & Policies

We accept Paypal payments, which in turn can accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express. No Paypal account is required to process your payment. Payments are due at time of purchase.
We try our best to ship items within 2 business day as long as they are in stock. Your items will ship to the address you provided us, with the shipping method you choose at checkout. If there are any problems with the address or shipping method we will call you to correct any problems.
We currently ship to all 50 states in the US. All orders are shipped via USPS.
Orders Not Received
If you have not received your items, please contact USPS with your tracking number to inquire where your package is. Once your package has left our store, we are not responsible for it. We are also not responsible for any damages to products incurred during transit. We ensure that all fragile items are packed securely. Should damage occur to your package, please contact us so we may help you resolve the problem quickly.
Please Note: Candles, melts & soaps are sensitive to heat and may melt slightly during the shipping process, or you may notice ‘sweating’ on the top of your product. This is normal will not affect the overall product in any way.
Our orders are checked thoroughly when we package items for shipping. Please unpack everything and search inside the box (and among all packing materials such as peanuts) before contacting us about a missing item.
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately. If the order has not shipped yet, we can cancel the order at no charge to you. If the order has already shipped, please refer to our return policy.
We do not accept returns on any used items. Please contact us within 14 days to arrange for a return. All items must be returned within 21 days. Columbia River Candle Co is not responsible for any shipping costs on returned items. Items not returned in original condition may incur charges.
If you receive an order where we have made an error, please contact us immediately with the details. We will work with you to get your order corrected at no additional charge.
If you receive an order that that has been damaged, you can refuse the package and have it sent back. Should you not be available when the package is delivered and you receive it damaged, please contact us and we will work with you to get it resolved. We will require a photo of the damaged item(s).

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.
Comments & Reviews
When visitors leave comments on this site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you fill out and submit a contact form, we will collect your name, email, and pertinent data to process your contact request such as the message.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Newsletter & Mailing Lists
We use MailerLite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and send emails to our subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may collect and process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Our website does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
